Xbox Live Gold subscribers have been enjoying Last.fm on Xbox Live for several months and now Xbox Live Silver members can join in on some of the joy.  Silver members will given access to the Last.fm service for free for 3 hours per month with advertising.

Last.fm is a great audio streaming service that allows you to stream music while connected to Xbox Live.  The service lets you build your own music channels based upon your music interests and also suggests similar music.

"Silver users will be able access what we’re considering a trial period of three hours a month, which comes with video advertising. Gold users will have unlimited ad-supported access, so they can use it 24 hours a day. There will also be a premium offering on a subscription basis from Last.fm, that will be commercial free and will also have more sophisticated personalization features, like Loved Tracks."

This is interesting news because to my knowledge there have been few if any Xbox Gold Subscribers exclusive offerings that later became available to Silver members.  Do you think this could be a trend?  Lets discuss in the comments.
