Finally – official word from Microsoft about some of the elements of Windows Live Wave 4 (WLW4) and specifically Windows Live Messenger (WLM).
There has been so much banter in the last few weeks about it across the Internet it has been unreal. Leaked versions, leaked screenshots, etc. Been a virtual smorgasbord of unofficial news.
Well finally some real details are coming out including an official announcement from Steve Ballmer himself.
So let me get you started on some reading relating to today’s announcements:

There will be a limited private beta that will be held soon and then a public preview will be available in June. It has been over two years since the last update of Windows Live Messenger so there is a very large community anxiously awaiting some of the features that are coming.
My personal favorite feature – tabbed chatting. One Window – Multiple conversations!
