Just finished watching the streaming keynote by Ballmer, et al. I kept waiting for the SNL audience lights to come up. If that is the pinnacle of technology, where is my lump of coal. Boring, scattered, confusing, disjointed, equipment failures and Ballmer's Norton-like nasal booming was like a high school book report. Volume was barely audible at the beginning - their tech staff kept turning it up until it almost blew out my speakers. When it came to anything interesting, Internet audience saw a placard which essentially said they weren't important enough to see what was going on. So what is the press at CES supposed to do with it? Commentary was lame.
