After all the hype; after all the rumors; after all the rampant blog posts, tweets and other communications avenues over the last few weeks – Windows 7 has been signed off on for real and the code is gold for RTM. It was apparently signed off at 9:56 AM (PST)this morning according to the below video posted from Microsoft.
Other blog posts from Microsoft about RTM:

Congratulations to the Windows Team and everyone involved for developing a great operating system. I am ready to get my hands on RTM now! General Availability is 22 October!
