Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notice for July 2009

Mark your calendars for next Tuesday, the 14th of July 2009.  That is what is otherwise known as Update Tuesday and Microsoft has just posted their advance notice on the security related issues they will be addressing in those updates.

There are 6 updates included in this scheduled update:

  • Three critical update that relates to Remote Code Execution and impact Windows.
  • Two important updates that relate to elevating privileges.  One impacts Virtual PC and Virtual Server, the other impacts Microsoft ISA Server.
  • One important update that is related to remote code execution and affects Microsoft Publisher.

Microsoft will also release an update to their Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool; the Windows Mail Junk E-mail filter; and a Windows Vista Bluetooth related update.

If your interested in getting these advance notices yourself all you have to do is visit the Microsoft Technical Security Notifications website. From there you can subscribe to your choice of E-mail, RSS, or Windows Live Alerts so you can stay on top of these important updates.
