I have used Instant Cake and IDE Hard Drives a couple of times and it worked great. However, I am stuggling to upgrade my TIVOS using SATA drives and SATA TO IDE adapters. The capcities/cost of the SATA drives makes them very attractive. I have a 1 TB and a 750 MB SATA that I am trying to get into my TIVOS. So far instant cake cannot recognize the drives. Is the computer, is it the adapter, is it the SATA drive. That is where I am now. I tried a second computer with the same results so I am next going to test the adapters. I know certain adapters are best to use for this installation and that is the one I ordered. I will keep you informed of how I make out.
