Pssst – hey buddy. Did you hear? Yesterday was Patch Tuesday.
I remember when these Tuesday’s were new – there always seemed to be a lot of pre-release stuff. Now it is so common that the day passes and sometimes can go un-noticed since it has become such an integral part of a Windows users experience. Even more so if you have updates set to download and install automatically.
Despite the common-ness of this day – they are still coming on the second Tuesday of each month and October 2008 is no exception. Eleven updates were released including 4 Critical, 6 Important and 1 Moderate:
- Critical
- Vulnerability in Active Directory Could Allow Remote Code Execution (957280)
- Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (956390)
- Vulnerability in Host Integration Server RPC Service Could Allow Remote Code Execution (956695)
