Mike - sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with this as my signups for both of our computers went well and we got our copies of Windows Vista sooner than I even thought we would.

I agree though that the process should not allow you to sign up if it is no longer available. As I recall this deal hit one of the "freebies" website and I think it overwhelmed them and they shut it off much earlier than they expected.

I signed up for this. I get mail back telling me that I signed up after it closed and thus appears I get NOTHING from MS for this? I have already complained to them about bait and switch tactics plus the fact it even LET ME sign up the following day *after* the signup period happened to close? Beware of helping them out if this is how they treat those who try to do that. I did not see any end date on that website, so why should I get screwed? Thanks MS, another reason to leave your OS and move on to something else like Linux.
